How to use this hub

Follow each material through four questions: How to Get, Processed By, Produces, and Uses. This keeps the page useful as a routing reference instead of a static encyclopedia entry.

The official materials category is the complete element index. The table below focuses on the materials that have a confirmed source, transformation, or factory use, so you can move from a resource name to the next machine without guessing.

Entity catalogue

This first catalogue release reuses the site's existing canonical guides instead of creating thin entity pages. Legacy names remain searchable, but conflicting names are labeled so they are not mistaken for current Early Access terminology.

EntityKindSummaryPublication state
Auralite CrystalmaterialA crystal formed by the Aura Extractor that can only be broken by its nanobot swarm.existingSourceSource
DunematerialDesert terrain that yields Sunsand when dug, then quickly reforms when the Sunsand stops falling.existingSourceSource
Florinol SoilmaterialMaterial left behind when a Florinol Battery is depleted; destroying it returns Florinol.existingSourceSource
FluxitematerialAn upgrade resource found naturally in small amounts and generated later by the Flux Emanator.existingSourceSource
ScoriamaterialThe solid product of freezing Lava with Snow; destroying it yields Cinder.existingSource
AmethelismaterialA botanical output from Flowers that can be dried and processed into Florin for the Florinol energy chain.existingSourceSourceSource
AuralitematerialA material obtained from Aurixite and processed by the Aura Extractor into Auralite Crystals and Aura progression.existingSourceSourceSource
AurixitematerialA Synthesizer output that can be processed by Shakers into Auralite.existingSourceSourceSource
Burnt ResidueAlso: Burnt SlagLegacy/conflicting names are retained for lookup only.materialBurned Residue that a Kinetic Press converts into one Gold and one Seed.existingSourceSource
CindermaterialA transportable material obtained by destroying Scoria; direct Flamethrower fire turns it back into Lava.existingSourceSource
Dry AmethelismaterialDried Amethelis that releases Florin gas when burned or heated.existingSourceSource
FlowerAlso: Amethelis FlowermaterialA Planter Box crop whose harvested head yields Gold and Amethelis petals.existingSource
GoldmaterialA refining output produced by Shakers, Kinetic Presses, and harvested Flowers.existingSourceSourceSource
RedsandAlso: Red SandmaterialA material that combines vertically with Void Petals to create Voidbloom.existingSource
ResidueAlso: SlagLegacy/conflicting names are retained for lookup only.materialThe guaranteed Shaker byproduct from Wet Sand; burning it can produce Burnt Residue.existingSourceSource
SandAlso: Dry SandmaterialA material obtained from Dirt that combines with Water to create Wet Sand.existingSource
SeedAlso: SporeLegacy/conflicting names are retained for lookup only.materialA Kinetic Press output that combines with Water to create Wet Seed.existingSourceSourceSource
SunsandmaterialA launchable solid dropped by Dune that must be caught during movement before it turns back into Dune.existingSourceSource
VoidbloomAlso: Void BloommaterialThe product of Void Petals and Redsand and the sole documented input for a Flux Emanator.existingSourceSource
Void HuskmaterialThe solid remainder left after Void Juice charges a Locator or Void Gun; a Voidgrazer can recycle it into Void Juice.existingSourceSource
Void PetalAlso: Void PetalsmaterialA light material that combines vertically with Redsand to create Voidbloom.existingSourceSource
Wet SandmaterialSand combined with Water; a Shaker converts each pixel into Residue with a chance to also extract Gold.existingSourceSource
Wet SeedAlso: Wet SporeLegacy/conflicting names are retained for lookup only.materialSeed combined with Water; placing it on a Planter Box grows a Flower.existingSourceSource
FlorinolmaterialA liquid made by condensing Florin, used by Florinol Batteries for Energy and by the Synthesizer to make Aurixite.existingSourceSourceSource
LavamaterialA hot underground liquid frozen by Snow into Scoria; it also burns Residue in contained automation setups.existingSourceSourceSourceSource
Liquid GoldmaterialA compact liquid store of Gold value made by a heated Smelter and counted as currency while it occupies Collector tiles.existingSourceSourceSourceSourceSourceSource
Void JuicematerialA Void-system liquid made from Void Petal and Moonhop, used to charge the Locator and Void Gun and recoverable from Void Husk through a Voidgrazer.existingSourceSourceSource
WatermaterialA liquid used to wet Sand and Seeds and involved in the Ice and Steam cycle.existingSourceSource
FlorinAlso: FlorinematerialA gas produced by burning Dry Amethelis and condensed into Florinol and Gold.existingSourceSourceSource

Build around the next use

Before collecting a new material at scale, identify the machine that consumes it and reserve storage for its output. This prevents a factory from producing a resource that has nowhere to go.

Watchlist: Stratacore and Clearing Frame

Stratocores are progression objectives rather than ordinary factory materials, and the Clearing Frame is a logistics building. Use the current Research screen and official references before treating either as part of a material production chain.

Sources

Material names and confirmed transformations were checked against the official Materials index, Sand, Wet Sand, Water, Residue, Burnt Residue, Kinetic Press, Lava, Cinder, Copper, Fluxite, and Voidbloom references. Sandustry is in Early Access, so verify patch-sensitive ratios after major updates on the official Steam page.
