Sandustry 1 Million Gold Achievement Guide: Why It Isn't Unlocking

Quick answer

Before assuming the 1 Million Gold achievement is bugged, verify whether Gold and Liquid Gold are inside Collector tiles, whether your map has unprocessed value, and whether modded saves affect achievements.

Quick answer

If the 1 Million Gold achievement is not unlocking, first verify where your value is. Loose solid Gold and loose Liquid Gold are not the same as banked Gold. Move the material into Collector tiles and compare the HUD/bank total before calling the achievement bugged.

Because Sandustry is in Early Access, achievement behavior, modded-save behavior, and large-value edge cases should be checked with a clean save and a small controlled test.

What to check first

CheckWhy
Is Gold inside Collectors?Loose Gold may not count as spendable currency
Is Liquid Gold contained in Collector tiles?Collector tiles are non-solid, so liquid can flow through or beside them
Are you comparing value instead of pixel count?Liquid Gold compresses value into fewer visible pixels
Is the save modded?Mods may affect achievement eligibility or timing
Is the map fully processed?Mining method and processing efficiency can leave value behind

Liquid Gold and achievement confusion

Liquid Gold can make the visible amount of Gold look smaller because it stores more value per pixel. That is useful for storage, but it also makes achievement troubleshooting more confusing.

Run a small test:

  1. Note your current bank total.
  2. Move a known amount of solid Gold into Collectors.
  3. Note the increase.
  4. Smelt a small batch into Liquid Gold.
  5. Move only that Liquid Gold into a contained Collector area.
  6. Compare the bank total again.

Do not convert your entire reserve until the counting behavior is clear in your current build.

How to push toward 1 million

  • Process Wet Sand through Shakers instead of discarding byproducts.
  • Burn Residue and press Burnt Residue for extra Gold and Seed.
  • Convert Seed into Flower output where your plant line is stable.
  • Keep Amethelis/Florinol branches organized so plant output does not clog the Gold line.
  • Use Liquid Gold only when storage and Collector containment are already reliable.
